# Frontend Users

> Manage local Curator user accounts including creation, permissions and configuration for Curator Users authentication.

<Note> This is only relevant for use with the authentication setting **Curator Users** </Note>

If you're using [Curator Users](/setup/authentication/curator_users)

frontend users.

***To enable management of frontend users:***

1. Navigate to the backend of the system (e.g. `http://curatorexample.com/backend`).
2. Log in if prompted.
3. Click on **Settings** > **Security** > **Authentication Settings** in the left navigation.
4. Select "Curator Users" for the authentication type.
5. Click on the "Save" button.
